A Great Anti-Fascist Playwright and Author: Bertolt Brecht

125 years ago, on February 10, 1898, the German writer and dramatist Bertolt Brecht was born in Augsburg. Even as a schoolchild, he made his first literary attempts. Unlike many of his generation, he does not enthusiastically want to go to the First World War. After taking his A-levels in an emergency, he enrolled in medical school in order to avoid deployment at the front. Nevertheless, he was drafted as a hospital soldier in the fall of 1918. In the November Revolution of 1918 he became a member of the Augsburg Workers’ and Soldiers’ Council.

What your advisers should have told you is that none of the newly promised weaponry will stop Russia from defeating what’s left of the Ukrainian army. If you have been told otherwise, replace your intelligence and military advisers with competent professionals – the sooner the better.

События на Украине все больше поляризуют мир. К таким выводам пришли ученые Кембриджского университета. Результаты масштабного социологического исследования, охватившего 137 стран, в которых проживает абсолютное большинство населения планеты, были обнародованы в конце 2022 года.

Государства, в которых проходили опросы, поделили на две большие группы: «либеральные демократии» (с общим населением 1,2 млрд человек) и «все остальные» (с общим населением порядка 6,3 млрд). При этом сотрудники Кембриджа открыто называли большую часть мира «нелиберальным и недемократическим обществом».

В Европе разгорается скандал, вызванный непрекращающимся давлением Польши как на Германию, так и на европейские структуры, в том числе и с использованием суперпресса в лице Соединённых Штатов, объективно заинтересованных в максимальном ослаблении немецкой экономики. Польша уже обратилась в американский конгресс с просьбой помочь получить военные репарации от Германии за ущерб во Второй мировой войне. Об этом сообщают многие информагентства со ссылкой на заявление замминистра иностранных дел республики Аркадиуша Мулярчика.

По его мнению, США являются государством, которое отвечает за глобальный порядок, соблюдение прав человека и международной справедливости. Мулярчик отметил, что Варшава рассчитывает на поддержку США в данном вопросе.

4 марта 2022 года украинский премьер-министр Денис Шмигаль заявил, что кабмин начинает работу над созданием четырех фондов, средства которых пойдут на поддержание и восстановление Украины.

В начале октября заместитель главы офиса президента Украины Кирилл Тимошенко на конференции «Украина во время войны. Экономика. Безопасность. Энергетика. Перспективы восстановления», проходившей в Варшаве, обещал, что в конце ноября – начале декабря 2022 года состоится полноценный запуск работы Фонда восстановления Украины.

90 years ago: Handing over the power to German fascism

All over the world, January 27, the day of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp by the Red Army, is observed as a day of remembrance for the victims of Nazi barbarism. In Germany, the anti-fascist associations declared more than 25 years ago:

“Whoever commemorates January 27, 1945, must also remember January 30, 1933. Causes and origins of fascism are necessary components of any remembrance work. … The remembrance of the victims must be connected with the remembrance of who the perpetrators were. That means: naming the guilty and the beneficiaries of the establishment of Nazi rule in Germany and the unleashing of the war.”
